Liberty Precision Works got started by relationships. Many different pieces came together to make possible what is now standing today in Tempe, AZ.
Tyler Carroll, one of the owners, got his start in machining back in 2009. He followed in his fathers footsteps and joined the trade right out of high school. He worked in that machine shop for 14 years and watched it grow from 10 employees to 50 at its highest number. Starting as the low man on the totem pole cleaning out machines and mopping the floor and then moving his way up the ladder. A machinist, programmer and then made his way into production manager role. Then during a time of transition where a private equity company came in and bought the shop, Tyler moved on to work in a small garage shop and that is where the seed was planted.
Kyle Huth, one of the owners, got his start back in 2015. Similarly following his father into the trade at an Aerospace company. Starting out as a hand finish blender and working his way up to machinist and then transitioning into the EDM machining side of things. He then went to work at the same shop that Tyler worked at and that is where the friendship started. Kyle and Tyler worked together for a few years and when the private equity company came in Kyle also saw his exit in site. He then went on to a Production Manager position in the supplement industry.
About 6 months into Tyler's time at the small garage shop he got a call from an old coworker asking him to lunch. About an hour into that conversation the ex coworker made the statement that started it all. "I will fund the startup of a shop, if you are the one to do it." After some thought and planning Tyler called Kyle up and asked if he would want to jump ship and start a shop. The next 6 months were a whirlwind of planning and logistics. Liberty Precision Works opened in April of 2024. Quickly became AS9100 certified with the help of ProShop and has been on a growth path ever since. Officially hired their first employee in November of 2025 and posted a 195% increase in revenue from 2024.
