Liberty Precision Works is a full service machine shop located in Tempe Arizona. Offering CNC and EDM machining/outside processing for all industries inside the manufacturing space. What started as a love of making chips has turned into a passion to build a company with a legacy that will be talked about for generations to come. Every single item in the world at some point needs a machinist and we're proud to have a part in that. #thankamachinist
HOW LIBERTY STARTED
Liberty Precision Works got its start a long time ago. Tyler's family history in machining going back 4 generations. From an apprentice at Studebaker, shop owner, 2 journeymen. In total 8 people in those generations having been in machining. Kyle's history started with his father who has worked in the aerospace operations for 30 years. Kyle and Tyler both started from the lower level positions and worked their way up to managerial roles. In this long history there was a point in time where Kyle and Tyler worked together for a few years. In those years they had the typical "if i had a shop" conversations. Come to find out there was an underlying want to own a shop. Then one day a couple years after they worked together Tyler got a phone call from coworker from a previous shop asking him to lunch. Tyler went to that lunch and after about an hour of conversation, the old coworker turned to Tyler and said "if you want to start a shop. I'll fund the startup monies. Because I believe you can make it happen." After some time and discussion Tyler called Kyle and asked him if he was ready to leave his secure job and jump head first into business ownership. And then Liberty Precision Works was created to carry on the legacy of previous generations and to provide a top shop opportunity for our kids to take over if/when their time comes.
